Representative Matters

We won a defense verdict on malpractice claims against individual attorney and law firm in a case arising out of employment litigation. Our clients were also awarded judgment against plaintiff of over $70,000 in fees on their counterclaim.

Representation of attorney serving as Deed of Trust Trustee in bankruptcy adversary proceeding claiming breach of fiduciary duty resulting in complete defense verdict.

We tried a lawyer’s malpractice case in which the jury found no malpractice in underlying employment case and awarded our client over $50,000 in fees.

Representation of attorney and law firm in defense of legal malpractice action where plaintiff had been fully aware of all possible bases of attorney liability and failed to identify any potential malpractice claim as asset in personal bankruptcy prior to obtaining discharge. Obtained trial court summary judgment dismissal of claims on application of judicial estoppel, subsequently upheld by Washington Court of Appeals. 

Representation of attorney and law firm in defense of legal malpractice action where underlying matter involved clients’ services performed for construction surety in connection with 15 individual commercial construction projects. Obtained multiple partial summary judgments ultimately resulting in settlement for value below client’s prior mediation offer.
