In 1993 the law firm of Forsberg & Umlauf, P.S. was founded by five original shareholders – Carl E. Forsberg, Roy A. Umlauf, Terrence J. Cullen, Dean S. Lum, and Patrick G. Middleton.
The goal at that time was the same as today – to deliver exceptional and creative representation for our clients and to achieve effective and practical solutions that address their legal concerns. We like to think we have been successful as we have now grown to over thirty attorneys with offices in Seattle and Tacoma, Washington and enjoy a strong presence in Oregon as well. Of the five original shareholders, two remain with the firm. Carl and Roy still have very active practices with the firm that bears their name. Carl also serves on the firm’s executive committee and Roy is also teaching at his alma mater, Seattle University. Terry Cullen has retired, while Dean Lum moved on to become a well-respected King County Superior Court Judge. Sadly, Pat Middleton passed away in 2015.
Over the years we have added attorneys and shareholders in order to continue to provide the service our clients have come to expect and deserve. We have worked hard to forge strong bonds with our clients, the judiciary, other attorneys in our community and give back to charities in our communities. We look forward to many years of practicing law with passion in the Pacific Northwest.
