Edward “Ted” L. Westfall
Associate
Ted’s civil litigation practice focuses on the defense of general liability and municipal liability claims. He represents individuals, businesses, and government agencies in disputes involving personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and breach of contract.
Prior to coming to Forsberg & Umlauf, Ted served in the United States Army for 22 years. Ted began his military career as an infantry officer here in Washington state at Fort Lewis, deploying twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004 and 2006.
In 2011, Ted completed law school and served as an Army attorney for 14 years, stationed everywhere from Louisiana to Alaska. Ted represented the Army as a criminal prosecutor, in civil litigation, and in federal labor negotiations. Additionally, he advised Army senior leaders on matters ranging from complex internal investigations, employment law, government contracting, and cyber operations. Ted developed extensive experience providing legal support to Army operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
