Kasey C. Myhra

Kasey is a trial lawyer with extensive experience defending clients in high-exposure civil litigation matters in state and federal courts. Her practice focuses on catastrophic injury, construction liability, contractual risk transfer, and premises liability.
She has represented national insurers, Fortune 500 companies, and entities in high-exposure matters, earning a reputation for effective advocacy and sound judgment in complex litigation.
Kasey has significant jury trial experience and is known for her ability to prepare complex cases for trial and deliver successful results in the courtroom. Her recent achievements include prevailing on summary judgment, securing favorable rulings before the Court of Appeals, and obtaining strong trial results on behalf of clients.
Before joining Forsberg & Umlauf, P.S., Kasey defended clients in a wide range of matters, including construction, premises liability, product liability, and appellate litigation.
- Defended a national trucking company in litigation arising from a roadway oil spill that caused a collision. The Court of Appeals reversed a summary judgment against the client and remanded for retrial, resulting in defense verdict.
- Represented a property manager and real estate investment company in a case involving injuries sustained in a common area. Obtained summary judgment, affirmed on appeal, and dismissal pending.
- Secured dismissal of a general contractor in wrongful death action, with the court holding no duty was owed for wrongful death of pedestrian in a public right-of-way in an area controlled by subcontractor.
- Represented a national non-profit organization and insurer in complex sexual abuse litigation, handling all aspects of claimant depositions, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Achieved a favorable trial award after three-week jury trial in a motor vehicle case, demonstrating that the plaintiff’s alleged injuries stemmed from a rare pre-existing spinal condition.
